I don’t know about anyone else but this week flew by for me! I don’t have any reason to say so, it just did. This was the first week of my new self-format 12 week program to drop some recently acquired body fat and further develop some lagging body parts and bring others out! I am psyched still at this point, good thing since I am less than 1 week in! My 2xdays for the week are over – which by the way is not as much of a relief as it might seem, I am LOVING 2xdays because it cuts each session down to such a manageable time. 30 minutes is no time to spend on anything really, even the treadmill. Now I must face the weekend head on and keep up the fitness and healthy healthy eating! Still deciding whether I want to endorse the “cheat meal” as there is really nothing technically off limits on my current plan. I am keeping cals. in check and making sure protein is adequate but not intentionally limiting carb or other intake, though the gluten free lifestyle tends to take care of that to a certain extent in addition to my natural preferences for foods.
The key phrase for the weekend! Must remember to keep the self control…This mornings workout was a recovery walk – 50 minute Incline treadmill walk 5.0-11.0 incline and speeds from 3.8-4.5 depending on incline, with some weighted punches (the only good use for 2 lb. dumbells!) thrown in for boredom purposes.
Happy weekend!

Good evening and welcome… I keep trying to “kick off” some sort of blogging habit as if it is just going to become automatic and I will fall in love with blogging and gain some sort of support network and dare I say blog “friends.” Now, i am thoroughly obsessed with blogs of ALL types…
The More Things Change The More They Stay The Same

Life has a funny way of reminding you who you are, I have always believed that. I have always taken refuge in those friendships you can return to after years and years have passed and it is like nothing has changed a bit and for the same reason I have always gone “home” that…
Here we go again!

I forgot my camera, but my sadness turned in to the sincere realization that you do NOT want to see my desk! What a mess. One of the girls at work brought in pink rice krispies treats, gluten free! for breast cancer week. So nice and considerate of her. I always take these treats with…
Workin’ for the Weekend

I wish the title was truer, needless to say I should be working but haven’t exactly accomplished all I wished to! that said I had a satisfying win in fantasy football! I SO encourage any and everyone to play fantasy football, even if you don’t care at all about football, it’s FUN and I think for some girls/guys whos signficant others like football it gives you something to cheer for and look forward to. I personally love nfl football, and all sports honestly, but I admit to being a bit crazy about my new found fantasy football!
SO FUN!! That’s not to say I don’t take it seriously, I am known to scream at the tv at al hours.
Shopping, cooking, baking, football, Scout and work. That was my day. After I managed to clean up this little disaster
RIP beautiful glass tabletop. A casualty of the super stormy weather we have had all weekend in Miami. This was the view early this afternoon!
I left my GPS case in the rental car in Memphis [sad face] but found this perfect little gem at Marshalls this morning
I made no bake pb and cocoa cookies with Bob’s Redmill buckwheat cereal. Lately I find baking with mixes etc. super boring and love to make up my own recipes and gluten free adaptations. Not sure how these will be when they are done but I know at least one of us is glad I made them
Look at that freshly painted nails too! Off to watch the final football game of the night and cheer for E’s fantasy players while I try to get more of the aforementioned work done! Looking forward to a positive week and kicking it off with a positive run in the a.m!
